With over 35 years of experience, Frank Holmes truly is a master craftsman with an extraordinary breadth of knowledge and archives from the heritage Lincrusta and Anaglypta world.
If you have a bespoke project, or period property restoration and would like to explore commissioning the recreation of a heritage design from our archive collection we’d love to discuss how we can help.
Frank has a passion for saving beautiful vintage raised relief wallcoverings from extinction and these are no exception. We are delighted to add several unfinished tradesman’s samples to our collection which have not lost their intricate detail under numerous coats of paint.
To bring this Parisian Art Deco design back to life, unseen for a 100 years, first Frank mounted original fragments to reproduce a useable master. Then each new tile was carefully handcrafted, using a versatile, eco-friendly composite material suitable for a wide range of applications, perhaps to create dado panelling, make a statement splash-back, or a stunning feature wall. Handmade to order in white which can be painted to suit your design scheme, or cold cast using a range of metals.
Highlighted project – Manor house, Windermere.
Lincrusta is a luxurious, deeply textured wallcovering, unfinished ready to choose your own colour palette, and available in a range of classic or contemporary designs to suit any interior. Both fire retardant and water resistant, as well as extremely durable, Lincrusta can be installed in any room – the possibilities are endless!
Lincrusta Elizabeth was used for bespoke backdrops installed in 3 of 4 boutique bedrooms at Quite Simply French, a fine dining restaurant with rooms in Lancaster. See the gallery below, which includes a selection of other projects combining Lincrusta with Frank’s talent for decorative finishes.
We work with property owners, interior designers and architects.
