The BIBA Fountain Panel

A limited edition art deco wall art panel, featuring a forest scene with antelope around a central iconic waterfall feature – a meticulous recreation of an original bronzed panel by Walter Gilbert c.1933 installed above the lifts at Derry & Toms Department Store, Kensington, which later became the iconic fashion store BIBA.

Walter Gilbert was a pupil of Benjamin Creswick, who was trained by Ruskin to be the professor of his School of Sculpture in Keswick. Gilbert went on to found the Bromsgrove Guild c.1894, an association of industrial artists. The guild specialised in metalwork and are responsible the main gates at Buckingham Palace.
